Prayer Walk - 10 a.m. on Wednesdays

Starting on Wednesday, September 14, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., we will seek to expand Zion’s Prayer ministry. We will have a Prayer Walk around Zion – Sanctuary, offices, and Sunday School rooms. This prayer time will cover the pastor, staff, Council, committees, Sunday School teachers, children, youth, adults, fellowships, members, shut-ins, those in care facilities, hospitalized, and more.

Join us as we approach the very Throne of the LORD - “so Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” – Hebrews 4:16. Join us in the power of intercessory prayer – “the prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effect” (James 5:16). Join us in praying to Father in Jesus’ name – “so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give it to you.” (John 15:16). Join us and make a real difference in the lives of others, including our loved ones.

Bible Study - 11 a.m. on Wednesdays

Then from 11:00 a.m. till noon, we will study the Scriptures. We finished the letters of 1st and 2nd Peter in the Spring. Now we are moving to the letter of Jude. Afterwards, we will go to the letter of James. Join us as we seek to grow in the “grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

Have you noticed that I often quote many Scripture verses in my sermons, articles, and conversations? I do this so that it isn’t my ideas, but God’s Word, that is guiding me and you.

This isn’t a guarantee that I am not making mistakes. For Scripture says (James 3:2) that “we all make many mistakes …” But by continually turning to the Lord’s Word and the context of each passage, we all may be led closer and closer to His truth.

So, as you wrestle with things that the Lord puts on my heart, search the Scriptures and the context of the Scriptures that I am quoting. Bring to my attention the Scriptures He is putting upon your heart.
