Pentecost / Memorial Sunday 2023

Pentecost / Memorial Sunday, May 28

Come to worship on May 28 as we celebrate Pentecost and Memorial Sunday.

Pentecost is 50 days after Passover (in the Old Testament), which has been superseded by Good Friday / Easter (in the New Testament). In the Old Testament God’s people gathered at Mt. Sinai and received the gift of God’s Law (Exodus 19-20). In the New Testament, followers of Jesus gathered in the Upper Room and received the gift of the Holy Spirit - who writes the Law of God upon the hearts of Jesus’ followers (Acts 2).

We will also celebrate Memorial Sunday, honoring those who gave their lives in service to the United States, through our Military – Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines and Air Force.
