Ordination of Bill Savering - January 14

Sunday, January 14, 2024 3:00 PM

Bill Savering Ordination Service on Sunday, Jan. 14

Bill Savering has been a Licensed Pastor of Zion and the Evangelical Association (EA). On Wednesday, Dec. 13, an Ecclesiastical Council was held by members of Zion’s Council and pastors of the EA to determine Bill’s fitness for ordained ministry. Upon their recommendation and approval, Zion will ordain Bill to Christian Ministry, which will be recognized by the EA.

An Ordination Service for Bill will take place on Sunday, Jan. 14, at 3:00 p.m. This will include pastors and guests from EA Churches in Missouri, Illinois, and possibly Southern Indiana. This will be followed by a luncheon and desserts in Fellowship Hall, hosted by our Sisters in Faith.

On Jan. 21, Bill will begin as the Interim Pastor of two churches near Owensville, MO: St. Paul - Cooper Hill and St. James – Charlotte.

Bill will be living in the Owensville area four days a week and three back at his home outside of Waterloo. Barb will join him there every other week, and she and her mom, Lorraine, will be with us on the other Sundays.

So, join us as we ordain Bill to Christian ministry. And keep Bill & Barb in your thoughts and prayers as the Lord Jesus leads them onward.
