Mother’s Day - May 12^th

MOTHER’S Day (May 12^th) is a special day to honor our MOTHERS, which is in accord with the fifth commandment (Exodus 20:12, “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.”)

I encourage you open your Bible to Proverbs 31:10-31, and read it. Listed below are just 2 of those verses (28-29):

 “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

‘Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.’ ”

On Mother’s Day, our church will honor mothers in a number of ways at the Worship Service. So come and bring your mother, and join in on this special day of honoring her.

Her love is like an island     In life’s ocean, vast and wide,

A peaceful, quiet shelter     From the wind, the rain, the tide.

‘Tis bound on the North by Hope,     By Patience on the West,

By tender Counsel on the South     And on the East by Rest.

Above it like a beacon light Shine     Faith, and Truth, and Prayer;

And through the changing scenes of life     I find a haven there.
