Blessed
Blessed to be a Blessing
Genesis 12:2-3 says, “… I will bless you … and you will be a blessing … and all peoples on earth will be blessed thru you.”
What does it mean to be blest?
What does it mean to be a blessing?
Blest to be a Blessing is the mission and purpose of Zion Evangelical Church and its people.
The LORD God called Abraham with blessing (Grace), and Abraham responded with trust (Faith) in the LORD, “and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,” (Galatians 3:6).
In fact the Apostle Paul continues in his letter to the Galatians “So you see that it is men of faith who are the sons of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, ‘In you shall all the nations be blessed.’”
And Paul concludes Galatians 3 with “if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.”
Blessing is relating to, favoring, doing good to, loving, forgiving, guiding, helping, etc. These are the gifts of God's Grace to all who will receive them.
In turn, you and I are to share these blessings from God with all who are in our lives. And God promises that His blessing flowing into us, then thru us will impact the people in our lives, and even the whole world for good.
The LORD God calls you and me with Blessing and Grace thru Jesus Christ His Son, so may you and I respond with faith in the LORD and in His Christ by being a blessing to all who are in our lives.
