190^th Anniversary Cemetery Walk – October 4

Charlotte Mehrtens is organizing Zion’s 190^th anniversary Cemetery Walk at Freivogel Cemetery. It is set for Saturday, October 4^th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, with a rain date of Saturday, October 11^th. We have held walks in 2010 (175th anniversary) and 2015 (180th anniversary).

Debbie (Grossmann) Doerr and Charlotte (Pulcher) Mehrtens will be hostesses for this event. The following portrayers and portrayed are listed below:

1.  Bill Albert will portray Johannes Freivogel, Sr.

2.  Abbie (Rolland) Bates will portray Anna (Toty) Stelzenriede (age 28)

3.  Lane Bates will portray Carl Stelzenriede (age 3 ½)

4.  Ronnie Bates will portray Friedrich Stelzenriede (age 35)

5.  Darrell Doerr will portray his great grandfather Fred Mueller

6.  Pastor Adolph Mark Friz will portray his great grandfather, Pastor Adolph Friz, who served as an interim in the early 1900s. He is also connected to Pastor Paul Wendt (who as a widower married Pastor Adolph Friz’ widow). He served Zion from 1904 to 1924.

7.  Leon Lang will portray his great great grandfather, John Baptist Luetzelschwab

8.  Kim (Mehrtens) Mueller will portray Katharina (Mueller) Freivogel

9.  Betty Keller-Timmer will portray her great-great grandmother, Anna Barbara Koch Keller Waldbaum Veile.

10.  Judy (Albert) Sutter will portray her great-great grandmother, Magdalena Albert

11.  Pastor Darrell Weber will portray Pastor Jacob Knauss, who served Zion from 1846 to 1866, and again from 1871 to 1881.

12.  Dave Woehlke will portray Carl Stelzenriede (age 70)
