Vacation Bible School Update

The numbers of kids, youth and adults (total/zion) for the last 3 years is given below.

2026 kids (61/5), youth (23/5), adults (22/14)

2025 kids (72/8), youth (28/8), adults (20/14)

2024 kids (72/7), youth (22/8), adults (23/21)

We used Group’s Rainfdorest Falls (Amazon theme) VBS materials.

We explored the Nature of God. Day 1 - God is our Creator. Day 2 – God knows all things. Day 3 – God is our Safe Place. Day 4 – God is Love. And, Day 5 – God is Forever.

Thru singing, games, Stickey Scriptures, Snacks, Crafts (making frogs that jumped, Rain Sticks, snakes, parakeets, and crosses) and Bible Adventures we wall grew in God’s Grace.

Friday was water day with a 20 foot high waterslide (from MidAmerica Moonwalks) and a smaller waterslide (from Darren & Jessi Doerr).

Our closing included guests, Terry Beatty and Helen Obernagel with Kids for Christ (https://www.kidsforchristhub.com) and Anna Keune with African Vision of Hope (https://africanvisionofhope.org). We raised $500 to support the children of Zambia.

We finished with a picnic lunch of hot dogs, chips, ice cream and toppings, and snow cones. And the Waterslides were up and running till 1:30 pm.

Faith, Fellowship, Food and Fun was had by all of us.

We had a big conflict with Camp Ondessonk this year. Which reduced our numbers.

We are relying more and more on non-members for us to put on VBS. Indeed we are a Community VBS.
